We were visiting from Texas and carried all our luggage on the train and were looking for the luggage storage place near Happy Expat. They told us that it had closed and offered to hold our luggage while we spent the day in Sitges before our trip to Menorca. She (her name has escaped me) was just the nicest and let us change in the bathroom and gave us restaurant recommendations. What to say about this marvellous business? Marion is the ONLY estate agent we have ever met (we have moved many times!) who really takes her work personally. From finding the right house for us to negotiating all the bureaucracy and liaising with the vendors, she did it all with such expertise and good humour. I have known Marion for a couple of years. We were introduced by a mutual friend, and she started to assist me and my wife regarding matters related our house in Spain, given that we were back in the UK. During the covid pandemic we were unable to travel and as a result Marion was invaluable when we had to deal with a break-in at our house. Marion assisted me in the insurance claims process in terms of meeting with the Insurance inspector and detailing both losses and damage which we did on a video call. She also made the necessary statements to the police on my behalf. Without Marion’s involvement I don’t believe the claims process would have been so effective. More recently Marion identified some clients to rent our house. Marion understood our reluctance to rent out the property as it used to be our home, but she found a nice family, ensured they were suitable, negotiated a fair price and arranged for a video call to ensure we were all happy with the arrangements. She also identified a local painter who decorated the house so it was ready for the new occupants During my dealings with Marion, I have always found her extremely knowledgeable of the local area, Spanish processes and how to get things done. She is extremely professional, effective, and efficient as well as being friendly and approachable. An essential person to have locally especially as I am currently 1500 km away. I would have no hesitation to make use of Marion’s services in the future and can thoroughly recommend her.

Marion of Happy Expats is wonderful. We have just bought our house through her and everything went so smoothly. When Marion said things would be done , they were - without any chasing or hassle on our part. It’s not just the selling of houses but Marion will sort out all the extras like getting it cleaned and redecorated before moving in. Marion also arranged for the electric and water bills transferred to our bank account, spare keys , alarm sorted ... and the list goes on. There are no delays in replying , it’s almost as if Marion was in the same room. Marion is an absolute fountain of local knowledge that we have found indispensable over the last three months and no doubt will do so in the future. The best thing of all with Marion is that everything she does is done with warmth and a big smile.

In één woord: Fantastisch! We kunnen Marion van Happy Expat zonder enige twijfel aanbevelen! Marion is ontzettend aardig, zeer professioneel, reageert bijzonder snel en zeer deskundig op vragen per WhatsApp, Videocall of e-mail. Ze is zeer goed op de hoogte van de woningmarkt (koop en huur) en schakelt bijzonder snel en doortastend. We waren al enkele maanden op zoek naar een huurhuis in de regio Sitges/Olivella, maar onze ervaring leerde dat we moeizaam contact kregen met (de lokaal georiënteerde) Spaanse makelaars. Marion spreekt daarentegen perfect Engels, Nederlands, Duits en Spaans/Catalaans hetgeen werkelijk een verademing is. Marion heeft binnen 4 dagen (!!!) na ons eerste contact de ideale huurwoning, precies in het gewenste gebied, voor ons weten te bemachtigen. Naast het vinden van je ideale woning geeft Marion ook advies of helpt je graag bij het regelen van aanverwante zaken zoals een vaste internetaansluiting, zwembad onderhoud, importeren van je auto, verzekering, etc. Dus bent u op zoek naar een woning in de regio Sitges/Olivella, neem dan zeker contact op met Marion van Happy Expat!!
