Il progetto di comprare casa a Barcelona ... o meglio, in Gràcia ... mia moglie ed io lo accarezzavamo da qualche tempo. A lungo è stato solo un'idea, o poco più. Quando abbiamo cominciato a cercare di concretizzare, ci siamo scontrati con tante difficoltà: la impossibilità di essere presenti, quando qualcosa di interessante appariva su qualcuno dei tanti siti dedicati alla compravendita di immobili, spesso non c'era neanche il tempo di leggere bene l'avviso, la casa era già volata via. E poi, le leggi spagnole, quelle catalane, gli usi, la prassi ... certo non ne eravamo al corrente, malgrado gli sforzi per documentarci. Poi, da un passaparola, è apparsa Cristina, e le difficoltà si sono appianate! La sua competenza, la professionalità, la disponibilità a lavorare anche in orario insolito, la sua tempestività nel cogliere momenti e occasioni ... Cristina Aquino is the best. My wife and 2.5 year old child and I moved from NYC to Barcelona, not an easy thing to do, but Cristina made it so. She is professional and trustworthy, answers all kinds of questions quickly and accurately, and she is very easy to communicate with. She goes way above and beyond professionalism, though and gives advice on daycare, all kinds of bureaucratic issues, and helps to get our life started in Barcelona like a selfless and effective friend would. We hope not to move for a good long while, but if we do, it will be with Cristina's help.

Meeting Cristina was a real blessing for us. I would say she is the main reason why we took a leap to move from NYC to Barcelona without having visited the apartment in person. I cold emailed her based on a posting, and she arranged an online viewing for us. She held the apartment while we were able to get all of our ducks in a row, she explained how Spanish contracting, renting, bureaucracy worked in a way that made sense to us. She arranged a local friend of ours to view the apartment. She advised us on what to ship. She went much further in assisting with our rental and our move than most people would have; she truly held our hands. She is reliable and kind -- she goes out her way to foster the right connections and represent everyone's best interest, both the renters, and the owners'. Once we arrived, our apartment was even nicer than it seemed based on the posting, which has to be rare. We are very grateful and cannot recommend her enough.
