An absolutely fantastic Villa- in a beautiful location. Konrad and Hilda (the hosts) were extremely helpful prior to our visit providing helpful information on the location of the villa, area and recommended local restaurants. During our stay, they were very responsive to any questions and emailed to check in and provide information. The villa itself sits in a beautiful location, and offers everything we needed. Inside, it super spacious, very clean and well equipped. Externally, it has a lovely pool and seating area with comfy sun lounges, a BBQ and above all- amazing views. The village is a short walk down into a beautiful square, with lovely restaurants, a supermarket and bakery. The only slight downfall is all the stairs up to the villa and there are quite a lot of stairs in the villa. This was absolutely fine for us, but I imagine it would be difficult for anyone elderly or with young children. It was absolutely worth it though, for the amazing views and location on the hillside. For anyone wanting restaurant recommendations- our two favourite were Cafe Med (in the village) and Restaurant Dalt De’s Coll (a 30 minute drive away- above the tunnel). We had a fantastic one-week vacation in Sol Y Montes in July 2022 with two families (two sets of parents with four kids total). In fact, Sol-Y-Montes is even more spacious and luxurious than the website or AirBnB conveys and the location directly in gorgeous Fornalutx makes it the perfect place to stay. The communication with the owner and the local contact was smooth and effortless and I would come back here anytime.

Beautiful traditional house in a stunning location with a pool and multiple terraces overlooking breathtaking views. We throughly enjoyed our stay and spent all our time lounging by the pool, barbecuing and cooking in the well appointed kitchen. There are a plethora of terraces and areas to sit and enjoy an evening sundowner and watching the light change over the mountains was magical. The layout of the house was quirky but that added to the appeal. Of note the bedrooms mostly just had ceiling fans, and in some there was additional floor fans which were much appreciated - maybe one of these per room would be good? The village of Fornalutx is extremely pretty with beautiful winding streets and steps lined with plant pots. The village square was 2min away and had a good selection of cafes and restaurants serving tapas, beers, cocktails and coffee. There were also some high quality restaurants for such a small village, Cafe Med being a particular highlight. The design of the town meant rubbish disposal was a bit challenging requiring us to carry sacks of rubbish to the carpark to dispose of recycling but the general waste bins were located on the outskirts of town and really needed a car to transport the rubbish. Would suggest some info relating to this be left in the villa as we were caught out by this. Konrad was an excellent and responsive host replying to emails extremely speedily and helpfully and provided us with a plethora of recommendations and answered all of our questions in detail! Highly recommend and we would love to be back if Konrad would have us!

We have just returned from our sixth visit to the magical Sol y Montes. The renovated house is quirky, old and beautiful, with lots of steps and stunning views over the terracotta rooftops of Fornalutx across to the Tramuntana mountains. The kitchen is very well equipped. We had unseasonably hot weather this trip and the pool was wonderful for cooling off. We didn't hire a car this time and found it very easy to get to Soller and Port Soller on the local bus. It was reliable throughout the day, took about 15 minutes and cost €3 each way. We ate in the square in Fornalutx and shopped in the little supermarket, which has everything you need, including very good quality fresh fruit, salad, veg, dairy, cheese and meat at reasonable prices. Like most properties in Fornalutx, it's quite a climb back up the steps to the house, but well worth it for the peace and the view. Konrad is the perfect host. Very communicative and keen to help.

Wonderful large house in the pretty village of Fornalutx. We stayed a week and got the relaxation we needed. Amazingly quiet yet only 3 mins walk to the village square where you have several restaurants, bar, grocery store and bakery in addition to pharmacy and post office. The highlights for us were the spectacular views and the lovely pool. Highly recommended. The host was very communicative.

We had a brilliant few weeks at this lovely house in August 2020. It's a great base for a family to explore the surrounding area or to just enjoy staying in and taking in the views. It is a proper home from home with everything you could need and we were oparticylarly impressed y the well organised kitchen. It is a traditional old house at the top of a hill just 5 mins walk from the village of Fornalutx. We loved walking down to get our bread in the mornings and for dinner or drinks in the beautiful square in the evenings. Beds very comfortable, great bbq, lovely swimming pool and 3 terraces with wonderful views. The owner Konrad is extremely helpful and accommodating, he goes above and beyond to ensure you enjoy your stay.

Fabulous and spacious house overlooking lovely village of Fornalutx. Very well stocked with all the necessities. Host, Konrad, is really responsive and accommodative. Highly recommend!
