We recently used Island & Home to market and sell our apartment in Cala'n Porter. Scott and his team, provided a first class service, dealing with last minute issues in a timely and professional manner. I have no hesitation in recommending Island & Home's excellent service to anyone looking to sell their property. Scott and the team went above and beyond our expectations.

Excellent central location to cala en porter at the apartment Margarita. Next to shops and amenities and a play park for younger children. Beach is 10 mins walk down a pathed road. It's steep as the housing in cala en porter sits on top of one smaller cliff. So you need to drop about 200ft to reach the beach. We have small children so hired a car and there Is enough parking at the beach if you manage to get down before 11am. After that it can become busy. Also plenty of parking at the apartment. It sits in a complex of maybe 20 others. Pool is large and surrounding grounds clean and well kept. Communal sunbeds. Generally quiet location. Rooms and amenities at the margarita are well stocked with extras like umbrellas and chairs for beach. Towels and washing machine. Air conditioning and nice furniture. Couldn't fault it. Charlie the host was always quick to reply to emails and welcoming as a host. Offers plenty of good advice and local knowledge. Please lean on her for information. Great relaxing holiday. Menorca itself is small enough to get from one side of the island to another in about 45 mins by car. Plenty to explore and see. Loads of good restaurants to go to locally. Great base to call home with everything you need to be comfortable.

Have been debating for some time to purchase a holiday home, after visiting Island and Home and being introduced to Sophie I couldn’t have been more at ease. We discussed our requirements and Sophie arranged a number of viewings for our next return to the Island. We managed to find our perfect apartment. Sophie and the team have been nothing but 1st class, not the typical pressurised service instead being very pragmatic and coaching us through the process. Having being new to the Spanish process and laws Sophie patiently helped us navigate and was always a telephone call away if needed. What has impressed us the most Is the after care when purchasing with Island and Homes, being on hand to check in on the apartment if needed is exceptional service. Hablaré de nuestra experiencia; Íbamos a comprar una casa la cual habían visitado ya dos arquitectos a través de la inmobiliaria. Scott fue quien nos la enseñó y también quien nos indicó (desde la ignorancia queremos pensar), que la casa estaba en perfecto estado para entrar a vivir. Quise llevar a un tercer arquitecto para que me hiciera un informe estructural sobre la vivienda y resulta que había infiltraciones y humedades en la cubierta y llevaba desde el año de su construcción sin ningún tipo de mantenimiento. Con lo cual, había que rehacer la cubierta por completo porque las vigas estaban oxidadas (un mínimo de 60.000€ más). Echando la vista atrás, me genera desconfianza pensar el porqué nadie comprobó porque en el techo de la cocina había un boquete y otras señales que adjunto en fotos. Al final de toda la experiencia, nos hemos quedado sin casa, ya que el proceso ha quedado en una especie de “limbo” en el que todo el mundo está consternado y todo esto a los propietarios “les viene de nuevo”. Pero nosotros hemos tenido que pagar un informe estructural el cual hemos REGALADO en una especie de acto caritativo involuntario. Aun así, lo que más destacaría de esta experiencia es la lentitud con la que gestionan sus tiempos de respuesta (cuando no dependen de terceros sobre todo), te sientes abandonado en el proceso y entendemos que no somos los únicos clientes, pero entonces hay un problema de querer abarcar más de lo que se puede. No hemos sentido que hayan empatizado con nosotros y en una decisión tan importante como lo es comprar una casa, eso genera mucha ansiedad. Bajo nuestra experiencia, no los recomendaríamos, no nos han dado ningún tipo de seguridad.

Sophie was our real estate agent and she was extremely responsive and was with us from start to finish and ensured that we purchased our home with confidence. I am from America and my husband is from Germany and we were definitely worried that the process would be difficult since we do not speak Spanish, but this was certainly not the case since Sophie speaks perfect English. After the purchase of our home Sophie and the owner of Island & Home, Scott, were so friendly and gave us several reliable contacts to help us get our home up and running. We are blown away by the kindness of the Cala en Porter community and everyone’s willingness to help. J etais acheteur avec un conseiller local,tres peu reactif, des délais trop longs, préfère vendre sans expertise, l immobilier espagnol a son paroxysme ( peu de protection pour l acheteur), visite sympathique mais on demande plus !

If you are looking for advice when acquiring a property on the Island of Menorca, the team are simply second to none. They have the market knowledge, as well as the real 'insider info' when it comes to purchasing and navigating what is a fascinating market. If you need the extra support, and a real guide to chat through different areas across the island, I really cannot think of anyone better.

Después de haber prácticamente cerrado la compra de un piso en Menorca con Sophie, ofreciendo el precio entero de la vivienda, a la espera sólo de recibir el contrato de arras, se me comunica antes que mi oferta estará entre las cinco que se presentarán a la propiedad, para luego escuchar que el propietario ha decidido quedarse con la vivienda. Lamentables y poco profesional. Está claro que han colado a alguien de su interés. He puesto una reclamación a Consumo para impugnar esta compraventa. NO PIERDAS TIEMPO CON ELLOS!

The Villa was great for the family, clean, spacious, air conditioned and close to local supermarket & restaurants. Charlie was very helpful with booking and planning before the holiday. I would definitely recommend Charlie and the team at Island & Home

Great setting, close to the supermarkets and restaurants, nice modernised appartment and lovely views out to sea. Use of a pool which doesnt get particularly busy. Ideal if there is two of you Highly recommended

We stayed at Villa Alicia in Cala en Porter in the summer of 2023 and it was perfect for a family holiday. Plenty of space in the villa, with great facilities including an amazing pool. Charlie at Island and Home was super helpful throughout our holiday, and if we ever choose to visit Minorca again we would definitely stay at Villa Alicia again!

After scouring the property portals and websites of many agents in Menorca and not finding the property I had in mind, I was left somewhat deflated.
