We have recently bought a house in Spain. Sadly it wasn't with Voss Homes, BUT, our experience with them was SO good that it was worth posting a review. Of all the agents we dealt with, Voss were the ones who always remembered us when we called and could recall our details. They confirmed appointments quickly and responded to any emails within a very short space of time. We were very impressed. On the day of the visit to the house they showed us, Hannah was an absolutely delight and so lovely to talk to. Nothing was too much trouble. So, maybe we didn't buy through them, but our experience has left us wanting to recommend them to anyone who wishes to buy, sell or rent in the future.

I moved to Spain back in 2016 and purchased a country property in February 2018 through Voss Homes. Straightaway, I was impressed with their knowledge, patience and helpful attitude. But it did not end with the sale. In 2020, the pandemic hit and I was stuck without transport, Anna very kindly did my grocery shopping for me and brought it out to the house. Later that same year, I broke my hip in a cycling accident, while in hospital, Anna helped me over the phone and Hannah and Adele from the office helped sort out some administration issues prior to my hospital release. Once I had left, Anna found somewhere for me to stay where I would have help for a very short interim period before I was able enough to return to my more isolated property. Once there, Anna again brought my groceries for me. Not sure what I would have done without their help. In 2021 I decided to sell my house and there was only going to be one obvious choice who would be the best to achieve that. Voss Homes had recently added a video option for advertising properties and they made a smashing job of it. It looked so good in the video that it made me even sadder that I had to sell it actually. However, I have to give a shout out to Karen from Voss at this point as she had a couple looking for a country property who hadn't considered my place at all, but she thought it might be just what they were looking for and it was she who steered them in my direction. They fell in love with the place and are now the happy owners! Thank you so much to everyone at Voss Homes for always being so friendly, especially Anna, Karen and Andy.

“ We have recently completed the purchase of a lovely home in Las Piedras through Voss Homes. I can honestly say the service we have received from Voss Homes, has been outstanding and fantastic from start to finish. We were shown properties by Hannah. She really took her time and familiarised us with the local area, answered any questions and was professional and knowledgeable about the properties. Unlike other agents, she really focused on properties that matched our requirements. Having found our dream home and made an offer, Voss Homes have remained in touch through to completion. Both Anna and Hannah were happy to organise several extra visits to the house prior to completion and nothing was too much trouble. Anna has provided us with details of local services and trades and made the post offer stage seamless and stress free. Prior to completion Hannah carried out a full check of the house and it’s appliances making sure we were happy and all the included appliances were in working order . Even post completion Anna has been in touch with further information to assist with moving and living in the house. We simply cannot recommend Voss Homes highly enough and have never experienced a more professional but friendly Estate Agent “

Very poor service, would have liked to view a property so sent a request on the website. Didn’t get a response, so several days later phoned them. Was told they were in a meeting and would call me back in 10 minutes. That was 8 days ago, still no phone call!

Hi Steve, Ive only just seen this on Friday night so it is too late to check with the team. However, I can see we received and email from a Nicola Morley (is this yourselves?) on the 22nd May asking to see our property VH206. We called the tel number given a number of times but no one picked up. We sent an email asking when would she like to view the property. We didnt get a response from our email so didnt know what further we could do. Maybe our email went into your spam or junk file. Please have a look and let me know. There are 8 people in our office and our company policy is that even if one of us is in meeting then another one of the team takes all the information or reacts accordingly. Can you tell me who it was who you spoke to, the day and time so I can look into it? They publish a fake advert in order to get your attention and then they never reply back. For the same fake property, I asked my english friend to make an inquiry and the result was the same.No information at all! They are crook! 11/11/21 my answers... I called either on 24/10/21 or 25/10/21 first. I talked to Karen(not quite sure). My question was very simple:"is the property good for morgage?" The answer was:"I dont know"(what a proficiency!) and then she took my all possible contact details and told me that she would inform me the next day. No reply the next day. and I called your office once more around 5pm I suppose. I talked with a young lady at the reception and told her my experience with Karen(?).. Again I gave her my all possible contact details. Nothing! Because the property was a very beautifull house and was a bargain, a couple of days later, I told my wife to ask Damian to call you. He did and was told that some deposit may have been paid(!!!) for the property but they would call him later. Nothing! The listing was in Idealista The property was around Huercal-Overa I think Its price was 54.900 euros. It was a nice cortijo with 500sqm of land .Just a couple of days ago I saw that it was sold and the listing is not on Idealista anymore . Because I dont know the area wery well, I may be mistaken about its location. Now! as a Turkish living in Malaga for 5 years, I would not have any reason to write a very bad comment about an english-spanish estate agency unless your staff was so unprofessional or mean. I ve bought an sold properties in Spain. My brother is an estate agent in Bodrum Turkey. And I used to be in this bussiness for a while in Turkey with a Reality World Certificate from the Bosphorus University. Shame on you! P.S. I can send the screen shots of the records of my calls if required....

If you are thinking of buying in the area, Voss homes is the agent for you, please do not look elsewhere. I can categorically and unequivocally say, you can trust them 100%. A rare commodity with most estate agents in Spain. I lost a lot of money 12 years ago, when I bought, along with many other people from the U.K. Many tragic stories over the 12 years, where people from the U.K. lost everything. They sold my house in 2 weeks. I've Noticed the big players are starting to come back, I advise you to be very cautious and extremely careful. I am going to say again, if you are buying in the area they deal with, do not look elsewhere, why would you want to. They were always very professional, courteous at all times, 100% trustworthy. If you are are not buying, but know someone who is, please inform them of this review. Let us never allow what happened, to happen again. Let us protect people from this, we owe it to everyone we know. Their are many good agents in Spain, the unscrupulous agents can go somewhere else, or just disappear into the Atmosphere, where they belong. One other point, I was in a Spanish bar the other day, listening to the spiel coming out of a estate agents mouth, trying to con an English couple into buying a house. Do not allow this to happen. Egal wen ich frage in diesem Poco sind alle freundlich. Ich liebe günstige dennoch schöne Store und die hat Poco zu genüge. Sogar die Dame an der Kasse Halde mir noch schnell einen Korkuntersetzer zu suchen und so ging alles sehr schnell. Ich liebe Fadenstores und die hat Poco. Schon unter 40 Euro gibt es Garderoben, da können sich die jungen Leute für wenig Geld ihr erstes Inventar zusammenlkaufen.

We think this is very unfair. It was the landlords request and it is our company policy not to long term rent out properties "blind" to anyone who has not visited a property especially if they dont even know the area. This is to protect you the tenant as you would have lost your deposit and first months rent if you had not liked the property or area when you arrived you and didnt continue with the rental. As you said some other agents do, but that is their decision. Maybe they dont care about their clients finances and well being like we do? Also the landlord asked us not to give out the location as they wanted escorted viewings only. I have looked at the emails between you and our company and I am very happy in how our staff have conducted themselves in protecting yours and our landlords interests. We wish you the very best in finding a rental property.

Andy and Anna and the whole team at Voss Homes have been absolutely amazing during my recent purchase of a Villa in La Alfoquia which for now will be a family holiday home. They are super helpful and have provided me with tonnes of useful contacts which has made settling in and getting renovation work and practical things done so much easier than I’d anticipated. They are genuinely keen to help and are highly knowledgable and I would have no hesitation recommending them. Came over the last 2 weeks in september went to look at quite a few houses with different estate agents ! Out of 24 houses that we looked at we got it down to 2 both with voss homes anna showed us 4 good houses ! And we picked the one we think can be our dream home with a little bit of work and love spent on.it ! In a area we also like ! We had a fantastic experience buying through Voss with Andy doing an early morning show and Anna carrying on in the afternoon. As promised they took very good care of us throughout the whole process, with Anna sending us lots of excellent advice and links ( and without being too pushy - UK agents take note). From offer to completion was exactly 9 weeks, as quick, efficient and pain-free as it could have been. A really stress free house purchase.

We have just bought our dream home in Zurgena. Andy Voss understood our requirements ( even though we were not too clear ourselves!) He showed us several properties, but we ended up buying the first we saw as it was ideal. Anna followed this up by smoothing the buying process and offering very helpful advice. They really are the best selling agents with local expertise in the area they concentrate their business in.

What can l say about the Voss family? Lovely, understanding and just so so professional. I put my house up for sale and they found buyers but after a bearevement and no hope of finding another suitable property l had to withdraw from sale. AND they put up with my stress which was a bonus-believe me! They were very supportive and understanding. They have helped alot in my decisions and think they are more than estate agents! They will help through the process... Absolutely wondetful! If you want a house here then go to them... Nothing too much trouble.

Just felt the need to write a review of the excellent service I have been afforded by the Voss Homes estate agents. Although, the title "estate agents" only represents one of the many roles that they have played in finding me the ideal home here in Almeria, Spain. Eventually moving to Spain in September of 2016, I rented an apartment in Aguilas and began looking at a variety of properties including many marketed by Voss Homes. It's fair to say I was a tricky customer to please as I had very specific requirements for my new abode. Many places came close but usually failed on one count or another, but Anna, and, by now, Andy, never lost patience, didn't give up trying to locate the perfect home for me and resisted what must have been an overwhelming desire to strangle me when no-one was looking! When I had to find alternative accommodation, as the Aguilas apartment building began some major repairs that involved cutting off the water supply and hammering and drilling from 8am in the morning to 6pm at night (ever get the feeling you're not wanted?) it was Anna who found me somewhere affordable and convenient to stay. I finally found the perfect villa for me which happened by chance one day whilst walking the stray dog that I had acquired. Saw this quirky looking place in a marvellous location and mentioned it to Anna. By a sheer coincidence, the owners decided to sell it just days later and put it on the market with Voss Homes! I know! Bizarre! But in a good way. I still can't quite believe how that worked out. Anna informed me of it's entry on their books and within days we had negotiated a satisfactory price! Anna put me in touch with Mandy and Chris of Cam Concepts to handle the conveyancing process, pointing out that it's always advisable to choose a solicitor or conveyancer who live or work in the same jurisdiction as the property is located, since they will be familiar with the local council procedures as each one operates differently. Consequently, the conveyancing only took about six weeks to complete and I could, at long last, move into my dream Spanish villa. There are some renovations that I want to make, but, no problem, Anna put me in touch with a reliable builder, Wayne, with a great reputation, to perform the required changes and, for certain plans to be drawn up, she contacted a local English speaking architect, Pedro Jesus, to do what is necessary there. When I accidentally locked myself out of my new home just days after moving in, not as silly as it sounds, one of the interior doors locks automatically merely by closing it, hey, I said it was quirky, Anna and Andy's daughter, Amy, found a cottage for me to stay for the night and the next day, it was Adele, who normally handles the property rental side of the business, who arranged a locksmith to get me back inside my new pad. The entire staff at Voss Homes have always been friendly, courteous and supportive throughout the whole house buying experience. Including their other daughter, Jess, who negotiated a terrific price for me on a previous property that I almost purchased and Hannah, usually on reception, who accompanied Wayne to the new homestead to work out a quote for the renovation work I needed. Above all, Anna has given me sound advice on almost every aspect of moving and living in Spain that has been absolutely crucial in steering me down the right path into my new home. She never gave up the search, even when I nearly called it a day and thought about returning to Britain. I'm very glad I didn't! In conclusion, I now consider the Voss Homes owners and staff to be my new friends in Spain and I'm reasonably confident that I am no longer at risk of being strangled, well, at least, not by any of them. I heartily recommend that anyone considering buying a property in or around the Huercal Overa region should seek the expertise of a company that tells it like it really is, when so many other companies don't! Thank you Anna, Andy, Jess, Amy, Hannah and Adele.
