My wife and I wanted to retire in Spain, but expected it to be a daunting task. Our Spanish isn’t great, and we didn’t know any of the rules. We’ve often heard stories about not being able to do one thing without the other thing, and not being able to get the other thing without the thing. You get the idea. Then she found Valencia Property on Facebook and said, “This guy Graham is really funny in his posts. He seems very knowledgeable… I think we should meet him and see if he can help us”. We met Graham and David during a scouting trip and felt right at home with them. They shared stories of others in our situation and helped us understand the process and how they could help us. As weve started to settle in, David has been an absolute godsend and constant resource, helping us set up our utilities and join our buildings home owners association. He’s helped us work through a snag list of items, pushing the seller to address issues from the renovation done before we purchased. He even enlisted his brother-in-law to help us trim shelves for our kitchen cabinets. I can’t say enough about this company and the service (read friendship) they extend. They even introduced us to other expats that we now consider close friends. We would have had a hard time getting this far without them and I can’t recommend them high enough. I have just purchased a property in Valencia in 6 short months after the first contact I had with Valencia Property. The service has been impressive and Jessica has been outstanding throughout, with realistic advice, insights and very responsive. In April 2024 I had no idea where to start from, but after a short call with Jessica the plan was largely laid out. One visit to set up bank account, NIE, solicitors etc and in two visits later, I have found a property that's more than I initially asked for. Very happy customers! After being introduced to Marije of Valencia Property via a friend, we started with a digital meeting. Valencia property is a great service for anyone searching for a property in Valencia. In July 2024, we bought our dream retirement home in Valencia and we could not have done it without Jessica Mary Hill and Graham Hunt of Valencia Property. After a long search for European real estate investment possibilities I found the city of Valencia and teh company called ValenciaProperty in it. The service we received was above our expectations. Valencia Property helped us throughout the difficult process of buying a Spanish property (NIE, bank account, lawyer, payment issues, negotiations etc.). Highly recommended, reliable buy-side agency. Also a plus is that I think a good sense of humor is in the TOP3 criteria for the admission interview of the employees. :) Because this is also necessary if someone wants to buy or sell real estate in a mediterranean country. ValProp has been extremely responsive, with good advice and extensive knowledge, providing huge and friendly help. After the first success, we extended our interest to the seaside cities between Alicante and Denia. VP was also great at this, too! ValProp has a mid-term rental service daughter company also, definitely worth a try, called SteppingStone Rentals. Go for it if you want to start your new life in Spain, adios!

The real estate market, rental market and reconstruction/rehab of purchased property is difficult to navigate enough under normal market conditions, but especially difficult when inventories are thin. Our goal was to purchase a property within the city and then completely rehab the property. That scenario would require us to also need a rental unit while the rehab occurred. In our first conversation with Valencia Property, we found a team that has vast experience of assisting other expats with the same goal. First, David Tivey became our purchasing agent and helped us through the gauntlet of the Valencia marketplace. This marketplace is not easy to navigate and is far different than the U.S. David navigated us through the stress professionally bridging the barriers between sellers and our goals. They also recommended a solicitor to be our power of attorney to purchase the property for us while we remained in the U.S. Then helped us transfer all utilities to our name. We utilized another company within Valencia Property to gain a rental flat for occupancy during our rehab. These types of units are also very difficult to find and contract on your own.
