When I landed on the island in February I called into Tina and she couldn’t have been more helpful. I needed to get my NIE number sorted to work on the island which Jay sorted for me aswell as setting me up with a temporary apartment until I got a long term rental and then helping me sort a phone contract to use over here. 5 star service for sure, both Jay and Tina go above and beyond what’s expected and are lovely people.

Un pueblo pesquero encantador

En esta inmobiliaria no cumplen la ley, son unos estafadores además de unos maleducados. Me atendió Pina que aún a sabiendas de la normativa vigente respecto a la nueva ley del alquiler, trato de cobrarme la formalización del contrato a mí en vez de al propietario. Por supuesto voy a interponer una demanda. No es algo que se pueda decidir es la ley y hay que cumplirla. Indecente, ilegal e increíble que se pueda mantener un negocio así. Deleznable desde el punto de vista legal jurídico y moral.

Los Abrigos Properties have been renting my house out for many years and for the main have not been too bad. Sadly, after telling them that I wished to stop renting I had to instruct lawyers to prepare eviction papers as the tenants did not want to leave and the only advise I received from them was to consult a lawyer. Not sure if the tenants are friends of theirs as they are friends on Facebook ?! Finally I received the keys back 12 days after their contract ended without going to court but omg my house has been decimated. The tenants have ripped out my kitchen and replaced it with the one in the photos and not to a standard I would want to live with, when I specifically told the agent that I did not give my permission to do this when asked . There 'used' to be a glass wall separating the kitchen from the dinning room where there 'used' to be a table and chairs - I have since found the legs to the table but nothing else. They have built walls in the garage where I presume they were making another room. There are stickers all over the doors to the bedrooms and 10 inch nails knocked into all walls throughout the house as well as rubbish having been left for us to clear up. Even my ceiling lights have gone missing having been replaced by cheap rubbish. I have been informed by Los Abrigos Properties that basically there's nothing they can do and that these contracts that you enter into with these tenants are not worth the paper they are written on if you are an owner ?! The tenants have the right to change the locks and refuse entry to check the property ! If only I had been made aware of this before. Acting in the interest of their client (me) a full inventory of all fixtures and fittings should have been drawn up which should have been signed by both the tenant and the agent before they enter the property and AGAIN when they leave. Sadly in this case not only have Los Abrigos Properties not checked the property when they left but there appears to be no inventory in place which means I have no legal leg to stand on with regards claiming for damages or loss to my property. In short "it's down to me" to foot the bill as apparently they used their deposit as the final rent ! Along with leaving water & electricity for me to claim back from the tenants. Whilst I accept that tenants actions are not the agents responsibility. It is their responsibility to work in the interest of their client, in this case having a full inventory in place so that at least I could have done something about it !
