My husband and I came to Spain to explore the possibility of moving here in our retirement. With the diligent work of John, Sue, and their staff, we have made our dream come true. We weren't familiar with the Costa Blanca, and we so appreciated the time they took to acclimate us with the different areas and to help us focus our search on the town that was right for us. (And while I know they were extremely busy, we never felt rushed or hurried in that process.) They showed us multiple properties, but we just couldn't find the right one...then, as John was on a listing appointment, he thought the property he was viewing might be for us. He called, and we met at the property...and he was right! We ended up finding our forever home before it even went on the market!! We then began the slightly overwhelming task of learning about and navigating how to buy a property in a country where we weren't at all familiar with the system, but they helped guide us through the process of purchasing - from viewing to completion - offering many contacts and points of assistance along the way...and never in a pushy way. We felt like we had insight and support, but the freedom to make our own choices, without there ever being any pressure from them. It greatly reduced the stress of doing something so "big" for us. We have bought and sold properties over the years with various estate agents in the UK and here in Spain. The last property we were buying was through another estate agent. The seller was obstinate, obnoxious and poisonous to say the least, they made things extremely difficult for us. After a lot of correspondence and phone calls through the estate agent, we were not getting anywhere. This was a combination of the seller’s attitude and personality and a less than adequate service from the estate agent. We were recommended to Sapphire Properties through a friend who had the pleasure of dealing with them in the past. We met with John and we found him extremely professional and friendly. We were given more advice and information over a cup of coffee with John than we had been with the estate agent that had been dealing with our property for a matter of months. There was no hard sell, or slating any other estate agent company, just a very decent and honest man trying to help out someone who were in a difficult situation with no ulterior motive. We met with John, his wife Sue and nothing was a bother they are a breath of fresh air within this environment, from the beginning to completion and afterwards we have been in contact and nothing is a bother to them. The help and advice from them for all the other support services, regarding banking, money transfer, legal etc is second to none, making life a lot less stressful and easier experience. DO NOT USE THIS ESTATE AGENT!!! TIME WASTERS! We had two viewings for the same property, were given priority choice on whether we were to take it or not. Received an email at 11:30 asking if we have made a decision and would like to take it. We replied extremely happy and exited by 13:10, 1 hour and 40 mins later! And then we received an email saying priority has been given to someone who has never even viewed the property, and they will be coming for their first viewing tomorrow! Doesn’t make sense when there is someone 100% willing to take the property. They fall short when it comes to their knowledge of sales, processes and even something simple as setting expectations. As someone who has been in sales for over 6 years, and who obviously has more knowledge than these “lifetime professionals”, it is an appalling process to be put through and wasted weeks of our life. Do not waste your time. We were told we would be given the choice if they say no tomorrow, either way I will not take it, I hope it stays empty and I don’t do ever recommend working through them. If you are a LANDLORD DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR HOUSE TO RENT, they will lose you MONEY and TIME!!! Anticipating their response... You did not call me this morning, I have the call logs on my iPhone to prove it! You did not set a time limit on our decision. You were already aware we were waiting to see the sunset last night and we last viewed the property only yesterday! So was literally 24 hours after that we confirmed we would like to take the property. They obviously just do not have the backbone to tell the other PROSPECTIVE tenant they can not come tomorrow due to their own error...

I can't thank John and Sue enough for their professional service. Firstly as a customer that couldn't even get to Spain during covid to deal with the sale and secondly, having to deal with what was probably the WORST buyer anyone should have the misfortune to have to deal with. Namely the person below who has recently given a terrible review. This buyer was horrendous from day one. Firstly insisting that EVERYTHING be left in the property when it was clearly advertised as "part furnished". My Spanish solicitor gave them an inventory of what was staying and what we were taking. On the day of completion, the reviewer below and his wife tried to force their way into my property whilst the removals guys were clearing our belongings (that were on the inventory) and insisting they leave certain items. I then had to threaten to call the police and had to get my solicitor involved and John (Sapphire properties) had to take time out of his busy day to rush to the property (some miles away!) to prevent them doing anything unlawful. Not only this, but the buyer wanted to see the property THREE times to which John obliged. On the second visit, the reviewer below actually claimed by email that someone had taken items from the property and asked if there was going to be any more "looting". Nothing had been removed which was proved by a video taken by Sapphire properties. On completion day, I was so stressed in the UK that I told the removals guys to leave certain items and just get out of there. Namely a cast iron log burner (that was on my inventory to take) and one tonne of oak logs for the burner. The buyer has done VERY well out of our sale so to say Sapphire properties advertised one thing and sold them something different is COMPLETELY unfounded. I have bought and sold many properties over the years and this buyer was without doubt the WORST buyer I have ever come across. Thank you Sapphire properties for not only keeping your cool but going ABOVE and beyond with what was probably one of the worst sales in the companies history.

We needed a place to rent and Sue really went out of her way to find us somewhere nice. Fantastic service.
