El piso que nos dieron estaba sucio, tenia la puerta de la terraza rota, el aire acondicionado apenas enfriaba y el menaje era muy escaso. Cuando llamamos a un telefono de urgencia para indicar todo esto, solo nos atendian en ingles. Con respecto a la ubicacion; hay que coger el coche para todo.

Hemos pasado unos días estupendos en Manilva. La inmobiliaria Duquesa States tiene una gran variedad de apartamentos para elegir según tus necesidades .El que escogimos tenía de todo para pasar unas vacaciones en familia. Un apartamento cuidado y bonito, en una urbanización con piscinas y jardines muy cuidados. Las chicas son muy atentas y resuelven cualquier consulta que se pueda tener. Muy recomendable contratar tu apartamento de vacaciones con ellos! Espero repetir el próximo año! Manilva es un pueblo con playas preciosas y muchas cosas que ver en los alrededores.

The apartment that we booked through Duquesa Estates was one we paid a premium price for, but I was happy to pay it as we have been coming to Marina De La Duquesa for 20 years and really like the place. Unfortunately, this was by far the worst apartment/booking experience. To start, the apartment had no Wi-fi which to be fair wasn't actually listed as an amenity on their website but if I'm paying 150 euro a night for an apartment I would expect it to have Wi-fi, in the same way I would expect it to have electricity (which also was not mentioned as an amenity but thankfully the apartment did have electricity). The first night we slept there, my wife noted that the mattress was extremely uncomfortable, we flagged this, and they replaced the mattress the next day (which is the only reason they are not getting 1 star) but it’s still not a great experience to have on the first night. The sofa in the living room had a metal bar/wooden beam running across the bottom of it that was sticking into my lower back and was very uncomfortable – The sofa is not suited to rental accommodation. We paid extra to have to have a travel cot for our 1-year-old baby and there was no mattress provided with it. This meant the base of the cot was sticking up through the cover (basically a sheet of cardboard) that was provided with the cot. When I flagged this to Duquesa estates, they offered to provide 2 extra towels we could use as a mattress which is not a substitute in my opinion. I contacted another rental company we had booked with previously and they were able to provide us with a mattress for the cot free of charge. Duquesa Estates cancelation policy is also not user friendly when compared to other providers, which isn’t a deal breaker, but it is worth noting and reviewing when deciding whether to book with them. Overall, it was a bad experience, and I would not recommend Duquesa Estates if booking a holiday. You’re better to try an alternate provider – you’ll get a better quality of apartment, better cancelation policy and probably better service.

Again for the 3rd time, you never answered the email you provided, you never answered our phone calls or called us back and made no attempt to contact us at any point at all so we had no choice to cancel your booking as per the terms and conditions of booking. The fault is your own. When you finally made contact we tried to help by offering what properties we had at the last minute when we are fully booked and then you go on to give us a one star review 🙄

Hemos tenido un serio problema con ellos Después de varios años contratando nuestras vacaciones con ellos nos cancelaron la reserva sin avisarnos. Su explicación que nos habían escrito por email a un correo que no existe y devuelve “este correo no existe”. Constábamos en su base de datos por los anteriores alquileres. Nos mandaron un whatsup con otro alquiler más caro y menos días una vez cancelada nuestra reserva. Es evidente que no tuvieron ningún interés en contactarnos y nos han dejado colgados a seis. No han querido en ningún caso llegar a un acuerdo de devolución ni solución. NO HAY QUE CONTRATAR CON ELLOS.

We are sorry the booking was cancelled but none of the of the above was our fault.

I have rented 2 properties through Duquesa Estates over a period of 5 years because I trust them. All staff have always been prompt in action to repairs. Deposits, rents, bills and agreements are always professional, clear and easy. They care about their properties and me as a renter. The staff are always friendly and helpful. I highly recommend them.

The worst experience in my 31 years of life. I have never experienced such an unprofessional, disrespectful, and chaotic situation as I did with this agency. I will absolutely never trust them again, and I strongly recommend you stay away if you don’t want your holiday completely ruined. We booked an apartment over a month in advance for the summer, specifically to avoid last-minute issues: inflated prices, lack of availability, etc. Two weeks before the check-in date, we received a message saying that the apartment was no longer available and the booking had been canceled. No explanation, no alternatives, just a simple message. No phone call, no apology. This alone was already a serious problem — finding a decent place on such short notice in that area is almost impossible. But to make things worse, the apartment was still showing as booked on Booking.com, and the €1,200 we had paid hadn’t been refunded, leaving us unable to book anything else. We called Booking — nobody had any answers. But the most surreal part came when we contacted the number listed by the agency as the “emergency contact.” A man answered and said — word for word: • “I’m in my f.. sofa” • “I don’t know who the f you are” • “Call me tomorrow in working time” • “It’s not my problem” Not only was he rude, his tone was shockingly aggressive and disrespectful. We were calling because of a problem they themselves had caused, and through a number they promote as their emergency contact. This level of behavior is simply unacceptable in any professional setting. I’ve never left a negative review before. I run businesses too, and I know how damaging a bad review can be. But what I’ve experienced with this agency was so serious, frustrating, and stressful, that I’ve taken time out of my holiday just to warn others. DO NOT trust this agency. There is NO professionalism. There is NO customer care. And worst of all, there is NO respect. Avoid them at all costs — save yourself the headache, the stress, and the disappointment.

We are really sorry to see this review as it’s not indicative of our company or service we provide to our customers as you can see from our other reviews The booking you made was via Booking.com and the booking should never have been allowed to be taken on their portal, the property was removed from all bookings at the beginning of the year because the owners are selling the property, it was duly removed from Booking.com at that time, the calendar was closed and prices were removed so you should never have seen availability or prices let alone be able to book the property which you did on 04th of July. There was a glitch with their software and you booked a property that simply wasn’t available. On the evening of 19th July it came to light on our system that Booking.com had taken two bookings in this closed property one of which was yours, we immediately contacted you via Booking.com to inform you that the property wasn’t available for you to stay in and we had to cancel your booking We received no response to our messages for over 48 hours so asked for your booking to be cancelled and your payment to be returned, which it was straight away. We then received a message from you via Booking.com asking why the booking had been cancelled, and again we explained that there was an error on the Booking.com site and the apartment was no longer being rented. At this point you were fully aware of the situation and that you had been refunded in full. That night you called our emergency phone which is for guests emergencies out of hours who have an emergency that can’t wait until our normal office hours, emergencies are being locked out of properties, without water or electric or in need of medical assistance. You called this emergency number at night time regarding your booking and the person you spoke with said he couldn’t help with this and to please call in the morning when the office was open. At this point you become irate and frustrated with his response which we totally understand but the person you were speaking with couldn’t help you with this situation as he deals with emergencies and not booking queries, he never swore at you or became aggressive, he stated that he was sat at home on his sofa with no access to booking data and again to please call when the office is open at which point you put the phone down. You never called the office the next day and in fact all other communication with you was via Booking.com messaging system until you decided to incorrectly call our emergency phone. As soon as we discovered the error we told you immediately so you didn’t arrive with nowhere to stay ! We are really sorry that the situation arose and completely understand your frustration however giving us a 1 star review is unfair as the problem was created by Booking.com and by your own admission they gave you no help at all, you really are taking your frustration out on the wrong people.

Rude, unhelpful staff, particularly Amy who blatantly lied on a number of occasions. Incorrect information on their website, which on challenging, changed the description details, and denied it was ever there (thank heaven for screenshot) apartment dirty, black mould in bedrooms and hall, which they acknowledged but apparently ask tenants prior to stay whether they are happy to stay there along with the black spores! (We were never asked). Electrics kept dropping out and we were talked over the phone how to reset and told, “it’s Spain”. All in all would never use Duquesa Estates again, or stay in Marina Real! Ruined our holiday.

Thanks for taking the time to review us Sally Firstly we don’t have an Amy working with us and never have, and at no time has anyone lied to you. When you arrived you contacted us asking about a 3rd bathroom in the 2 bedroom property you had booked and it then came to light that there was an error on the website description that nobody had noticed, we apologised and amended the text straight away to match the bullet points and photos that have always been on the description stating that it is was a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment which is exactly what it is, we never hid this or denied this. The marks you mention on the bottom of the walls were minor and cosmetic and hadn’t been painted because this property is so popular it’s occupied constantly and getting a painter in has been difficult but we sent someone to paint these for you the very next morning. You then called us after hours and told us the electric was going off but not tripping any fuses, so there was no electrical problem with the apartment so nothing we could fix, we explained that in Spain we have smart meters and if too much electricity is being pulled the smart meters cut the power which requires resetting which we talked you through over the phone, but when it happened a second time we sent an electrician to check everything for you, you never gave us any feedback on this. As always if a guest finds any issues with any property which can happen we will rectify them immediately as we did with you during your stay. To say we were rude is wrong, we are happy to help anyone, but you came across aggressive and combative at every interaction with us whilst still mentioning the lack of 3rd bathroom at every opportunity. Again we are sorry you that the 2 bathrooms weren’t sufficient for the 4 of you staying and that this clearly had such a negative effect on your stay but we are honestly pleased to see that you have decided not to stay with us again.

Duquesa Estates should educate their drivers on the rules of the road and the use of roundabouts. The woman who undertook us on the roundabout today going to Pueblo Nuevo with the road rage and hand gestures didn't think or care about Duquesa Estates written on the car they were driving. Not professional.

Thanks for leaving a review Leon . Just to clarify we are an estate agent, not a driving school. All of our staff hold valid Spanish driving licences and the lady you referred to is Spanish and was driving home. Being Spanish she drives to the Spanish laws and despite the image you have posted Spanish drivers are taught to use the inside lane until exiting the roundabout, being English this doesn’t make sense to us but it is the legal way to drive here in Spain and had there been an accident you would have been in the wrong and been fined for improper use of a roundabout. The lady you mentioned says you gave her the middle finger and she didn’t react aggressively knowing she was in a company car she says she simply waved and drove on. If this is the first time this has happened to you on a roundabout, you are either extremely lucky or new in Spain. Safe travels.

We have been renting apartments through Duquesa Estates for many years and have always been very happy with the accomodation. Unfortunately the apartment we rented this year, number 1622 was a major disappointment. The bedroom curtains were ill fitting and dirty with hems hanging down. There were no towel rails or toilet paper holders in the main bathroom. The kitchen cupboards barely closed, there were no wine glasses which we had to purchase. We were reimbursed for these by Duquesa Estates. Although this apartment is advertised as 3 bedroom, 6 berth, the patio furniture only provided 4 seats and the terrace sofa and chairs were an absolute disgrace. Filthy dirty with rusted frames. Whilst searching for something to cover them we found soiled bedding left in the lounge wall unit. How this apartment can be priced in comparison with others on the Los Granados development is beyond us. The apartment is definitely not up to the standard of others offered by Duquesa Estates.

La ubicación es excelente, pero la limpieza y el mantenimiento de suelos, paredes, mobiliario, almohadas, electrodomésticos, deja muchísimo que desear. El piso (seguramente por el poco tiempo que dejan a los profesionales de la limpieza para hacer su trabajo) estaba sucio. Solo se había limpiado “por encima”, sobre todo cocina y baños, o pelusas debajo de las camas, o suelos con pisadas de haber fregado mal y pisado mojado, etc. Eso sí, constantemente te están “advirtiendo” con cargos adicionales si no dejas el piso limpio. Así lo hicimos, lo dejamos más limpio aún de lo que lo recibimos, no hacía falta mucho para ello. Sin duda repetiremos en la urbanización (que es de las mejores en la zona) pero con la agencia anterior, ya que hemos estado varias veces y nunca nos había pasado algo así.

Buena atención, la casa estaba limpia, completa de menaje de cocina y productos básicos (sal, aceite, papel higiénico). Tuvimos que llamar al servicio de emergencias 24h por un problema con la electricidad y lo solucionaron enseguida. Buen precio comparado con otras webs de alquiler vacacional

Bueno empezamos con esta odisea vivida con estos individuos por que no tienen otro nombre llegamos al piso el cual la limpieza era inexistente,pero bueno limpiamos nosotros después de dejar las maletas y irnos a comprar al súper llegamos al piso y no teníamos electricidad después de hablar con el anfitrión y no darnos solución alguna pasamos una noche sin aire ni tele ni poder cenar ni si quiera poder cargar ni un movil nos comenta que al día siguiente vienen a proceder al arreglo llega una persona que entendía de luz lo mismo que un niño de 3 años diciéndome que salta por que había exceso de enchufes (repito desconecte todo los electrodomésticos y enchufes de la casa ) al rato viene otro señor ........ por no insultar y me dice que es el termo que también estaba desconectado le digo que el problema es el conmutador de corriente por que entiendo,le enseño videos de toda la noche sin luz ni poder cenar con 3 niños ni poder calentar ni un biberón después de infinitas peleas y encontronazos y más de 24 horas sin luz nos encontramos con un señor dentro de nuestro piso (sin consentimiento nuestro cambiando un termo )llamo a la policía pues es violacion de la privacidad y de la intimidad y por supuesto delante de la policía se demuestra que la avería sigue exactamente igual en fin podría estar escribiendo hasta mañana pero estos sinvergüenzas no merecen ni un segundo más de nuestro tiempo ya que bastante nos a hecho perder y arruinar nuestras vacaciones son todos unos impresentables mal educados señores mucho cuidado si alquilais con esta empresa ya que os podéis quedar sin vacaciones por cierto gracias a airbnb que nos soluciono todo el problema rápido y eficazmente muy agradecidos de airbnb siempre proporcionandonos otro alojamiento y solucionando todos nuestros problemas......con nosotros no se juega que os valla bonito en la vida que os hara falta no se juega así con las personas y sobre todo hay que tener más empatia y ponerse en el lugar de la persona que lo esta pasando mal y que a pagado hasta el último céntimo.

We've rented apartments in Duquesa from DE for many years now, and they've always been absolutely spot on. They have a really wide selection to choose from, to suit most pockets. We're just back from a stay in a lovely apartment overlooking the marina, close to all the many bars & restaurants. The staff at DE are unfailingly friendly, helpful & welcoming, and respond very quickly to any email queries. It's a family run operation, and they clearly want to deliver excellent service to their customers. When we mentioned that we were leaving on an evening flight on our last day, they immediately said that we could stay in the apartment until our taxi arrived late afternoon, as no new guests were booked into our apartment - a really nice, and much appreciated gesture. Highly recommended!

We had a 2 bedroom apartment on the ground floor of Block 1. We were overlooking a field and ruined fortification. We had a side view of the sea. It was absolutely fantastic. Facilities were great, plenty of room , plenty of storage. Just 5 minutes from the marina, excellent location. The sun was on our balcony from about 9 30 until late afternoon ( in January), perfect.

I can't recommend Tim and his staff highly enough. This is our first time renting in Spain. They went above and beyond in smoothing the process, gave us practical advice we wouldn't have considered, and held our hand through it all. Been using these for years now and always been very good until this year , basic human needs are toilet paper etc , not one piece in either bathroom!! No hand soap , no kitchen roll , we all know you need to buy these things but surely there should be enough for one day !!

Alquilamos un apartamento atraves de ellos, buena atención pero en el apartamento aunque tenía mil detalles no entiendo que no dejen más que medio rollo de papel higiénico, nada de Papel de cocina ni servilletas, y aún pidiéndote que lo dejes limpio al irte tampoco bayetas. Al final tuvimos que comprar todo esto y dejarlo aquí. Y eso que el apartamento alquilado no era nada barato.

We are just ending a weeks holiday here at Marina del Castillo booked through Duquesa Estates. Firstly the apartment had the most amazing sea views and the location was perfect for us.What a way to relax. Secondly everyone at Duquesa Estates were so helpful ,friendly and professional and overall the holiday was nothing short of perfection. My only regret was that we couldn't stay longer. We will be back.

Utterly disgusted by this agency from which I was almost buying an apartment but they did NOT want to provide the necessary and required legal documentation for the property and have been treated quite this disrespectfully I do NOT recommend this company at all.

Stayed at the Marina with amazing views from the Balcony over the Marina. Beautiful sunrises. The Apartment was just what we wanted. Good facilities. Great beds, very comfortable nights sleep. Thanks for the review Ray You can stay for any any number of nights you want with us. Our nightly rates are extremely low so we have a minimum 3 night rate to cover the cost of cleaning and utility usage for our owners otherwise they'd receive no income from bookings at all. We spent a few days ast the apartment 227 and it was basically a nightmare. Air conditioning didn't work properly (mid summer, so the place was uninhabitable), the kitchen exhaust and the intercom also didn't work. After reporting it, nobody provided any kind of solution or alternative so we decided to return from our holidays earlier than expected... The place and the views were nice but these people are extremely unprofessional, they simply don't care expect for taking your money

Thanks for your review Jaime, we are not sure if you contacted Muchosol who you booked through but the only contact you made with our office was the night before you left saying you were leaving and the AC wasn't working, we offered to send a technician immediately but your wife declined the offer saying not to bother because you were leaving in the morning, we have checked the AC since you left and it all appears to be working correctly.

Alquilamos un apartamento con colchones pésimos, reclamamos y nos dijeron que lo pedían por Amazon , llevamos 6 días esperando el cambio y aún no ha llegado, nos dicen que es por Amazon que no trabaja en festivos, lo cual sabemos que no es cierto, cada vez que llámanos para reclamar , nos cuentan una cosa distinta, no son nada empaticos y no dan solución, nada recomendable ésta inmobiliaria .

Hola Enrique, antes de nada lamentamos que el colchón no se adecuara a tu estándar personal. Todos nuestros apartamentos están amueblados en un nivel alto y si hubiera alguna deficiencia en el colchón lo hubiéramos cambiado antes de tu llegada. En tu caso en particular, sin estar el colchón en mal estado, habíamos accedido a cambiarlo previa consulta con el propietario. Este colchón se pidió el viernes y llega el martes, teniendo en cuenta que es agosto y el 15 es fiesta, es un plazo de tiempo más que adecuado. Eres un cliente habitual, llevas más de cinco años alquilando con nosotros y nunca ha habido ningún problema previo, si no, no seguirías alquilando con Duquesa Estates. Entendemos que es excesiva tu respuesta, habiendo accedido a tus demandas y atendido siempre con la máxima amabilidad posible. Un saludo.

I really cannot praise Duquesa Estates enough. I've booked accommodation with them for many years and always had a 1st class service and excellent value for money. Last year and again this year, we have had various challenges due to Covid and restrictions and their flexibility has been an absolute god send. We have been able to pay when we are comfortable the holiday can go ahead, get a full refund if doesn't and also move the booking to a different date completely to ensure we get what we want. Communication during the whole process has been great, both last year and again this year. We've had complete trust and confidence in them and that has taken a great deal of stress away. Prepotentes y poco serviciales. Apartamentos sucios No tengo número de reserva. Se hizo à nombre de Juan Antonio Martín. Estuvimos alojados en Marina del Castillo y Duquesa suits. Nos dejaron colgados por 10 minutos del cierre de la oficina. La cama de matrimonio de Marina del Castillo estaba con un agujero. Los ceniceros de las terrazas llenos de colillas. Nunca más volvimos a alquilar porque no resolvieron las incidencias. Entonces estaba Vanessa al frente. Después no querían contratar con españoles, más exigentes que los extranjeros. En fin...

I have been using Duquesa Estates for holiday rentals for at least ten years. They have always been extremely efficient and completely honest. The rented premises have always been as described, the photos shown on their website have consistently been a true representation of what was on offer. Their employees have, without fail, been polite, efficient and apparently happy, which makes a great start to one's holiday. As you may gather, I wholeheartedly recommend Duquesa Estates!

Stayed in Los Granados over Christmas. Fantastic appartment. Terrible Customer Service! Avoid! . The Manager actually told me he didn't want my repeat business. He had me down as a "moaner" and said he wasn't worried about negative reviews because "good" clients would rally to their defence. Over 4 days we had 2 without working garage remote (garage left open), 1 without internet (no instructions), 2 without heating (12 degrees), 3 without TV (advertised as with TV). there were dirty pans in the kitchen cupboard. Of course there was an excuse for everything: The remote hadn't been checked, the notices and condition of TV were up to the owner. A neat way to avoid responsibility. The reception staff just looked gloomy when I told them we'd had some issues. I had to raise my voice with the Manager, Tim to get the merest hint of an apology. The attitude was very much, "we've got your money in the bank and there's nothing you can do about it". I was actually quite shocked that someone had this view of Customer Service. I'm sure anyone visiting from the US would be appalled. Such a shame because the appartment itself was fantastic.

Yes unfortunately you do appear to one of life’s moaners given that even though all your supposed issues were resolved the same day or the very next morning, which is excellent service no matter where in the world you are. and even after this you still weren’t happy. Most were not even issues at all but your inability to read the wifi code of the router, wait long enough for the heating to warm up or press the input button on the TV remote control !! Our staff are all happy people with lovely personalities, shame you aren´t of a similar disposition

Do not book your holidays with them. They advertise a property, take your credit card details and then cancel your booking. I have booked a villa from them using booking com website, gave all my card details and received booking confirmation. Then got an email saying that my card is not valid and requests for new card details. I thought it was strange but ok, provided another card details but in return received a cancellation letter! I called their office and very unpleasant lady told me that they cancelled my booking because they made a mistake and it cannot be rented for 1 night as there is a minimum of 4 nights required. WHY this information was not shown anywhere on property discription, important info or property requirements page and why system allowed me to make a booking???? And if it was your mistake and you missed this information, you should have either accepted my booking or offer some sort of solucion and not you “4nights minimum”. Horrible customer service and may even be scammers!!!

Sorry to read your review, you tried to book via Booking.com for a one night only which isn't allowed in any of our properties due to the cost of cleaning etc. Booking.com know our terms and conditions for bookings and your enquiry should never have been allowed to go forward on the their website. As soon as we saw the request for a one night booking we had no choice but to decline the booking which you were informed of immediately. Booking.com were also alerted of this anomaly immediately and they have since amended the property conditions. Your credit card details were not forwarded to us or charged as we declined the reservation request immediately. Sorry for any inconvenience caused but as you can see this misunderstanding was down to an issue with booking.com software and not Duquesa Estates.

Fantastic service from Tim and the team in 3 days from start to finish. He found us a property, arranged finish of repaint, clean and contract with keys all ready to move in. Extra services also make life easier for long term rentals. Can't recommend this company enough 😁

We have just received an e mail advising that the apartment we had booked and paid over 2months ago has been sold The e mail was today and we travel on Thursday I thought I had a contract to rent and we were due to travel with 3young children The alternative properties offered were not on the Marina as per our booking and we are now looking at property in another area and cancelled our transfer I would have thought the company would have had the decency to advise there was a contract to sell as I am sure property is not sold and contracts made within a day Our family is disgusted with our treatment I will be looking at how quickly I receive the monies I have paid The holiday is going to be more costly now due to lack of choice

We are really sorry about the late notice, all properties are privately owned and has you have been informed the owners had agreed a sale for next month after all bookings had finished but the owner´s have been put under intense pressure to bring the completion forward by the new buyers or lose the sale, resulting in the need to cancel or move your booking the last one in this property, we notified you within hours of being notified of the situation and have offered you a number of alternative properties including more expensive properties at no extra cost to yourself and a discount on any other property you would like. We will of course refund even single penny should you not wish to take up these offers and appologise for any upset caused.
