We thoroughly recommend Tropicana Estates to anyone looking to buy or sell property in the Almuñécar/La Herradura area. Our experience was top class from start to finish. Our case was not straightforward. We are British citizens who have lived in the south of France for the last 12 years. Our purchase in Spain was dependent on the sale of an unusual and relatively high value property in France. We therefore had to deal with two very different legal processes, not to mention the quirks and peculiarities of two neighbouring but in many ways different countries. There were several complications with both the sale of our home in France and the purchase of our new property in La Herradura. There were also several other parties all keen to buy it – so it ended up as a race against time! Both José and Susie handled the whole transaction which took several months, extremely professionally and with considerable tact and diplomacy. It was a long and at times bumpy ride, but we are now delighted to be living very happily in a most lovely home just outside La Herradura. We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Tropicana Estates to any prospective buyers in this area. From the time he found a buyer for my former home until the sale was completed, it only took 3 weeks. From the time I found a new apartment until I bought it and became the owner of it, it only took 1 week. I purchased my property through Tropicana in 2006. They were the only agent in Almuñecar who took the time to establish my needs and expectations before showing me appropriate properties and certainly, what I thought I wanted was not what I needed! Instead of a cortijo I bought a stunning duplex apartment with sea views and have enjoyed every minute of the 16 years I’ve owned it. Tropicana helped with all of the formalities with regard to utilities and helped me settle in. It was let for a time and their management of the letting and any maintenance issues was also excellent. They have recently been my agent in the sale of the property and achieved an excellent sale price and concluded negotiations very speedily. Sonya and José have been incredibly supportive for all the years I have known them and I cannot recommend them more highly. I should also give credit to the lawyer that Tropicana recommended to me, Snr. José Pozo, who has acted for me not only in the purchase (and subsequent sale) but also in all matters relating to taxes whilst in Spain and has been absolutely brilliant.

My friends and I travelled to Almunecar recently to visit and to also check it out as a potential place to live. Based on recommendations I read online and that I obtained via various Facebook groups, I decided to contact Tropicana Estates for their assistance. And I must say we were all very impressed with the experience! Jose was extremely professional, friendly, and helpful. He showed us around the old part of town where two of the properties were located, and also answered all of the questions we had about the properties and the town itself. If any of us decide to settle there, we will look to Jose and his team to assist us with the home purchase!

Han talar mycket bra engelska och är väl insatt i alla regler, skatter samt har ett bra kontaktnät som kan tänkas behövas. Mäklaren har även en fantastiskt bra fastighet- samt lokalkännedom och kan hela staden utan och innan. Husaffären kändes trygg redan ifrån start och vi har fått extremt bra hjälp både före, under och till och med efter själva processen.
